Student World Assembly
A
voice for the people of the world, the goal of the Student
World Assembly is to bring the people of the world together
and give them a chance to be heard without the intervention
of the government. People from different countries; with different
beliefs, religions, culture, economics, etc., will have a
forum to discuss these differences and try to find a way to
better live with these differences. The Student World Assembly
will be a non-governmental organization unrelated to any government,
and will function similar to the United Nations, but the representation
will be people and not countries. This effort to bring
this historic event to pass will help bring people around
the world into closer contact and help spread the reach of
communications by telephone, cell phone & the Internet. As
a result, people around the world will have an opportunity
to hear & be heard on significant world issues such as
peace, the environment, human rights, trade, outer space,
etc. and an alternative to engaging in disruptive behavior
such as wars, riots and suicide attacks as a way to influence
change.

on the campus of Cal Poly, in San Luis Obispo. With
this inauguration, the Student World Assembly at Cal Poly
hopes to evolve into and full World Assembly in the years
to come.

World Assembly
The
World Assembly is a voice for people around the world.
It can involve every person in the world, not just governments
or activists, in a deliberate peaceful act. It will provide
a whole new dynamic, raising people’s sights and expectations. Each
person will have a way to speak out on pressing issues and
to hear what others are concerned about. For people in many
countries, this will be the first experience with a true democratic
process. The effort to organize this election will itself
help to bring people around the world into closer contact
and help spread the reach of communications by telephone,
cell phone & the Internet. Visit
the official site.
Many different groups have advocated forming a World Government
to bring peace to the world, generally by encouraging governments
to voluntarily relinquish power to a new entity—originally
to The League of Nations and more recently to the UN (with
some reform).
After 75 years, the difficulty of getting existing governments
and their citizens to voluntarily agree to transfer ultimate
police power to a World Government has become very apparent.
What alternatives are available to successfully achieve the
goals of World Democracy and World Governance?

Englewood
on the Palisades Charter School
The
Englewood on the Palisades Charter School (EPCS) is thriving
in Englewood, New Jersey. EPCS has an enrollment of over 200
students and children range from grades K to 8. The school
serves a predominately minority community and emphasizes the
building blocks of reading, writing, and arithmetic. As a
result, the less economically advantaged children produce
dramatically better results than the neighboring regular school. The
regular school had a pass rate of 43% last year with a 97%
minority enrollment and 72% of their students qualified for
the lunch program. By comparison, over 84% of our students
qualify for the Federal subsidized lunch program and 96% are
minority! The school also keeps the parents involved and has
a regular 40-60% attendance at school meetings. EPCS maintains
a high standard and produces results in the student body and
provides education to minority students in an effort to help
them achieve their goals to succeed in today's society. For
